I was recently honored to be asked to be part of a small group of alums interviewing the final five headmaster candidates. One down, four to go.
From the first interview yesterday and reviewing the quality of all of the resumes, the future of the school should end up in good hands.
You'll be pleased to know that in addition to me advocating on the behalf of the traditions of the School by the Sea, the sail training program and Tabor Boy, Jack Braitmayer is also a member of our group. You may recall that Jack was on the Board of Trustees for 35 years including a long period as chairman. More importantly to members of The Tabor Boy Project, Jack co-chaired with Dave Barker, the extraordinary 90/50 Tabor Boy Celebration several years ago at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. In case you don't know Jack, here's a great profile.
If you have any questions you want me to ask the remaining candidates? Text me 508.264.5629 or email peter@mello.com before 1530 EDT. Thanks!
Fair Winds,
Peter

Peter,
Thanks so much for being an advocate for our ship and our school's heritage. I know this is consuming a fair parcel of your free time. It's through dedication and vigilance such as yours that keeps this program alive and our alma mater the great institution that it is.
Most appreciatively,
Jamie
