To commemorate the schooner’s 100th Anniversary, Tucker Francis ’16, with the help of Captain James Geil and a couple of other students and crew, created this wonderful 100th Anniversary Seal. Using Tabor’s school seal as a model, Tucker and his design crew painstakingly came up with an incredibly accurate rendition of our current schooner. The wording around the outer circles was changed to commemorate the 100th Anniversary, and the beautiful color was added. The result is a stunning tribute to our beloved schooner and program.
The Anniversary Seal was used on invitations for Tabor Boy anniversary events as she sailed up the coast from the Caribbean in the spring of 2014, as well as for additional receptions in the summer and fall. The seal was also featured on limited, anniversary-edition tote and ditty bags made from actual recycled Tabor Boy sails and line that flew from 1995 – 2014.
