Shenandoah retiring

I remember seeing Shenandoah frequently from the Tabor Boy.  Glad they will be building a replacement.

"After 63 years of voyages and educational experiences, Martha’s Vineyard’s schooner Shenandoah, designed and built by the late Capt. Robert S. Douglas, will sail her final season in the summer of 2026.

Putting a new Shenandoah II in the water, and securing its future, is expected to cost $9.85 million, according to ship Capt. Ian Ridgeway, co-founder and executive director of Martha’s Vineyard Ocean Academy. Raising the money began in 2022."
