I was Cap's friend,Peter. I helped him close down his house in Marion and he gave me many things-a ship's lantern, dignity and many photos of him on the Taborboy! If you would like I can scan them for you. I spent several trips=by plane{lol}visiting him and his wife in Florida. Plus I painted his portrait.we were close . Let me know if you want me to get these photos to you.

David,
Welcome aboard and thanks for joining.
Following up on Jamie's comment below, we'd love to have anything and everything Tabor Boy related added to the Tabor Boy Project. We're trying to capture the history, spirit and adventure of the schooner and her people and it sounds to me like you've got a treasure trove. Let me know what, if anything, I can do to help.
Really great to have you aboard and look forward to seeing all of your contributions here.
Thanks again!
Dave, welcome to the site! Cap was a good friend as well as a mentor to me too. I'm eternally grateful for the TABOR BOY program and Cap for the guidance that both gave me.
I think that I can speak for Peter in that he would like to have the picture posted. I'm sure that you have already seen some of the great shots of him on this site going back to his early years aboard the schooner.
Again, thanks for joining,
Jamie
