Favorite Tabor Boy moment
We were entering Naushon(?) harbor opposite Wood's Hole under
full sail. I was at the anchor winch when Capt. Carlsen shouted
"Let go". Since I was the only one on the fore deck I thought
he meant let go the anchor. There should have been someone
on the staysail. Instead "anchors aweigh". Only one fathon of
chain passed down before I realized something was wrong and
corrected the situation. NO DAMAGE.
Jim Wick used that story for years.

Dan,
Those are terrific stories; thanks for sharing. I’m very grateful for sailing with Capt Glaeser but I wish I had the opportunity to meet Capt Carlson.
Best regards,
Jamie

Great story and thanks for joining. Hope you'll share more of your experiences with Capt. Carlsen. Look forward to reading them.
