Mr. and Mrs. Mello,
Take a look at the main page for the last picture posted. We had a great time over at Bob GLover's house last night and were able to meet the new XO. I hope that you are both well.
Best regards, Jamie XO '79
It is great to hear that you are both doing well.
I live in Delaware, near Wilmington, which, unfortunately, is several hours from the ocean. I married Karen Evans, whom I met in college, 22 years and 2 days ago. She is from Acton, Massachusetts. We have 4 kids, three girls and a boy, age 8 to 19. I am a professor at the University of Delaware. My father, Ted, kept a yacht brokerage for a number of years at the end of the Barden's Boat Yard pier in Marion. He retired a few years ago. He married my stepmother Wendy 29 years (a year after our Tabor graduation); they live in Cataumet, Cape Cod. He sails his 27' sloop around Buzzards Bay as often as possible. After Peter and I graduated from Tabor, my mother, Joy, went back to college, became a registered nurse, and moved to New York City, her childhood home. She worked mostly with homeless AIDS patients in the South Bronx and Harlem. After 9/11 she worked at a center for the rescue and recovery workers next to the World Trade Center. She is retired now. She took up running at age 60 and ran the New York Marathon 9 or 10 times and Boston twice. She is still very active in church affairs.
Best wishes,
Bill Rose
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Mello (still how I think of you),
I hope you are well. I remember you warmly from my days with Peter. You were always very kind. A lucky kid, Peter, with you two as parents. Mr. Mello, we had some very nice Father and Son cruises together, didn't we. You must be very proud of Peter and his work at ASTA, and now he has started this wonderful project.
Fondly,
Bill Rose
P.S. Tell the truth: did Peter put his photo for this website through a program to make himself look younger?

Welcome aboard!
You and dad need to tell a few Tabor Boy sea stories! Get dad to write about those father and son cruises that were so memorable.
