Hi. Sorry I didn't see your message till now. It didn't show up in my email. Thank you very much. My father is James Geil. I am at Skidmore now. It's a great school and I am having a wonderful time. I really miss sailing the schooner every afternoon. I'll get back home to visit though. Thank you very much for your message. It's always great to meet other Tabor alumni.
Dear Bill ,
What a nice surprise hearing from you .Mr. Mello and I have fond memories of Peter's friends at Tabor .Mr . Mello had some wonderful times on the Father and Son Cruises .I remember driving to Marion and watching the Tabor Boy come in , and waiting for Peter and his Dad to come off the boat . Peter and his Dad had so many wonderful times on those Father and Son cruises .
We are very proud of Peter and all that he has accomplished ,
as I am sure that your parents are also . Let me know all about your family , and how your parents are . Thank you for the nice note you sent .
Fondly ,
Mr.& Mrs. Mello
Hello Jamie!
I live in Delaware now, near Wilmington. When we were at Tabor I assumed that when I grew up I would own a sailboat, just like everyone else we knew. Things turned out differently. I have done some racing on the Chesapeake with friends and at least once a year I get out with my dad who still singlehands his 27' Cape Dory (built in Mattapoisett) around Buzzards Bay. You have stayed involved with the sea: Maine Maritime and commisioning chief engineer for NOAA! That sounds very interesting.
Bill,
It was so great to see that you had joined. This site has been really great for reconnecting old shipmates. Some of the best memories of my life were aboard the schooner. You are part of what made these memories. I’m really looking forward to more of our shipmates joining. It would really be great to have reunion of sorts sometime.
Your shipmate,
Jamie
